HC Women's Ministry launched Discipleship Groups (D-Groups) in January of 2021. Our vision is DISCIPLING A GENERATION and discipleship is our focus!
Do you feel like something is holding you back from discipleship? Very few women ever feel like they are ready. They may think they are not good enough, wise enough, holy enough or energetic enough. But that is not what discipleship is all about. None of us have what is takes to do this perfectly. Instead, we get to rely on the work of the Holy Spirit in us to give us everything we need for discipleship.
Discipleship requires being honest about our need for God. It's about pointing others to the only One who is big enough to handle our hopes, dreams, fears and failures. It involves entering the lives of other women, so they can see Jesus in your interactions, hear Jesus in your stories, and sense Jesus in your presence. It involves helping others understand who they are in Christ, so that they can live out God's calling on their lives. Paul said, "Imitate me as I imitate Christ" (1 Corinthians 11:1). The point is not the imitation of us; the point is to show that Jesus Christ is worth imitating.
Can you do this? If you have the Holy Spirit living inside of you and are empowered by the living God, then the clear answer is that you already have what it takes. All you have to do is say yes to living out God's call on your life.
