They Are Precious In His Sight: A Biblical Understanding of Race
Teacher: Nathan Joyce
As Christians, we desperately need to form our opinions about race and issues that surround race with biblical convictions and not personal opinion. Many are concerned about racial injustice but are running on sentiment more than convictions rooted in biblical truth. Others harbor sinful attitudes about race but call those attitudes “Christian” even though they are formed more by their culture than the Bible. This class will explore the Bible from cover to cover and develop a consistent understanding of God’s perspective on race as well as our calling to imitate Him.

The Tech-Wise Christian
Teacher: Nate Williams
Technology, most commonly in the form of our smartphone, is within our reach 24/7. On average we check our smartphones every 4.3 minutes of the day. You play Candy Crush and Words With Friends, you send emails and text messages, you use it to shop, listen to music, read the news, and look at Facebook. I wouldn’t want to give up my iPhone and I’m guessing you don’t want to either. Instead of abandoning our smartphones (and other technology) we will spend our time discovering how to use technology in wise ways that honor God.
